Best route for your trip length
The usual gateway is Cairo / Giza. Select the pickup point before comparing prices because airport, railway-station, coach and private-road transfers are not operationally identical.
Road time should be treated as an operating range rather than a fixed promise. Traffic, mountain roads, ferry schedules, weather, comfort stops and local restrictions can change the day. The final itinerary should state the route, pickup window and overnight stop.

October–April is generally more comfortable for Cairo, Luxor and Aswan sightseeing. Nile journeys operate year-round, but summer heat can materially affect the day plan.
Season affects hotel rates, road or ferry access, daylight, crowds and activity operations. Keep at least one flexible period on weather-sensitive routes and do not treat a broad “best time” statement as a guarantee of conditions.
Entry, tickets and operating checks
Permits, visas and entry permissions remain subject to the relevant authority. Provide accurate identification early, but do not treat assistance as approval. The traveller remains responsible for valid documents and compliance with current rules.
